MLT Medical Lab Technician or MLS Medical Lab Scientist

Performs all clinical testing in the assigned department, including phlebotomy and laboratory analysis, while recording and reporting results accurately and promptly. Executes quality control testing following established guidelines and maintains high quality assurance standards. Practices safety procedures such as Universal Precautions and performs routine equipment maintenance. Coordinates and evaluates new reagents, procedures, and equipment as requested. Recognizes problems by following prescribed strategies or consulting with a supervisor to make necessary corrections. Requires a Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology and ACS certification.
