Perform routine and high complexity clinical lab tests for patient diagnosis and treatment, adhering to established procedures for specimen handling, analysis, and reporting. Document corrective actions for process deviations, maintain quality control records, and operate laboratory equipment while troubleshooting instrument issues. Monitor patient accessioning via the LIS, manage pneumatic tube specimen distribution, and assist with orientation of new staff. Act as a phlebotomy resource for outpatients and handle biohazard waste per policy. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Requires a current Tennessee Medical Laboratory Technician license with ASCP or NCA certification preferred.
