Job Summary
Conduct a wide range of laboratory testing and interpretation while managing assigned quality control, instrument maintenance, and special studies. Ensure regulatory compliance, oversee inventory management, and provide training and competency assessments for staff. Exercise independent judgment and critical thinking to maintain high accuracy in all procedures. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent military training, ASCP certification within six months, and availability for night shifts. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science
- military training as outlined within the latest version of CLIA regulations
- National Certification by ASCP, AMT, AAB or equivalent
- ability to take assigned responsibility for quality control
- ability to take assigned responsibility for instrument maintenance
- ability to take assigned responsibility for instrument and department related special studies
- ability to take assigned responsibility for regulatory compliance
- ability to take assigned responsibility for inventory management
- ability to provide training
- ability to perform delegated competency assessment for assigned staff
