MLL Teacher (50% at East Chapel Hill High and 50% at Phillips Middle School)

Teach Multilingual Learner (MLL) students at East Chapel Hill High School and Phillips Middle School (50% at each), developing lesson plans and providing individualized and small group instruction to help students attain proficiency in reading, speaking, listening, and writing English per the NC English Language Proficiency standards. Create a conducive classroom environment, establish clear objectives, employ varied instructional techniques, evaluate student growth, maintain records and progress reports, communicate with parents, collaborate with colleagues, coordinate WIDA Screener and ACCESS 2.0 English language assessments, and participate in curriculum and professional development activities. Hold or be eligible for a North Carolina teaching license with ESL licensure; a Bachelor's Degree is required; additional core content licensure and prior teaching experience are preferred.
