Job Summary
MLL Teacher for Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools, splitting duties 50/50 between East Chapel Hill High School and Phillips Middle School. Develops lesson plans, delivers individualized and small-group instruction to English language learners, maintains classroom environment conducive to learning, assesses and communicates student progress, collaborates with colleagues, coordinates and administers WIDA Screener and ACCESS 2.0 tests, and maintains records and parent communication; requires knowledge of English language development methodologies and NC ELP standards; must hold or be eligible for NC teaching license with ESL licensure, and a Bachelor's Degree.
Required Qualifications
- Holds or is eligible to hold a N.C. teaching license
- ESL licensure area
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Prior teaching experience preferred
