Job Summary
Mid-Level / Senior ML & GenAI Team Lead responsible for leading a high-performing team of ML/AI engineers while remaining an active contributor on client projects. The role balances people leadership with hands-on delivery (approximately 30% leadership, 70% delivery), and spans working across teams, offices, and disciplines. You will architect end-to-end AI applications leveraging LLMs, vector databases or APIs; design and build autonomous agents and conversational systems; engineer RAG pipelines; perform prompt and context engineering; monitor production models; design CI/CD pipelines; manage key client relationships; and collaborate with DevOps for smooth delivery. Core tech focus includes Python, OpenAI API, Hugging Face, LangChain, FastAPI/Flask, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud GPU environments; bonus points for TypeScript, Azure and AI-native workflows. You’ll thrive in a collaborative, learning-focused environment with Dutch and English (French helpful) language fluency, and a drive to continuously evolve tooling and processes while growing talent.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 9+ years of experience in ML/AI
- minimum 2-3 years in a tech lead role in ML/AI projects
- excellent communication skills and ability to present to stakeholders
- ability to coach and grow talent while delivering
- fluency in Dutch and English (French optional)
- curiosity and passion for AI and tooling adoption
- able to manage multiple work-streams simultaneously
- able to contribute hands-on on client projects (30% leadership, 70% hands-on)
