Job Summary
Inspect and repair gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling, and mechanical systems on airport service vehicles including support trucks, tankers, and hydrant trucks. Identify defective parts and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on refueling equipment while maintaining detailed records. Program and operate the Rapid Charger, Battery Monitor, and Identification Device, and conduct accident inspections on involved equipment. Ensure a safe, secure work environment by following local health, safety, and security policies. Maintain proficiency with standard and impact tools, air tools, and lifting capabilities for 70lb loads.
Required Qualifications
- GSE/Diesel Mechanic Level 3
- 2 to 4 years of Diesel Mechanic experience/background
- Coursework in diesel mechanic
- 18 years of age
- Valid US driver's license
- Authorization to work in the USA
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
- Comfortable lifting/moving 70lbs
- Available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airport Badge
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
