Job Summary
Provide effective video remote interpreting services to clients and their patients from your home. Deliver professional, courteous communication while adhering to the interpreter Code of Ethics. Maintain fluent verbal skills in English and Mixteco with at least two years of medical interpreting experience. Ensure all sessions utilize a Windows-based PC with a noise-canceling USB headset and a stable Ethernet connection. This contract role supports Big Language Solutions' mission to connect the world through communication by providing top-tier language services to diverse, Limited English Proficient communities.
Required Qualifications
- Provide effective video remote interpreting service for clients
- Professional and courteous behavior
- Strong ability and passion for interpretation and customer service
- Knowledge of the interpreter Code of Ethics
- At least 2 years of medical interpreting experience
- Fluent and have strong verbal communication skills in both, English and Mixteco
- Must have at least 2-5 years of interpreting experience
- Respect for and understanding of our Limited English Proficient (LEP) clients, culture, dialect and beliefs and preferences as it relates to legal/medical care
Desired Qualifications
- Credentialed in medical interpreting preferred
