Job Summary
Mixing Technician role in Lowcountry Oncology Associates focuses on the accurate, safe preparation of sterile compounded chemotherapy and biologic medications in an outpatient infusion center, adhering to USP 797/800 and state regulations. The technician will sort, label, and dispense medications, manage inventory, perform dose calculations, and support inter-office dispersion for specialized oral medications. Travel across four Charleston-area clinics (West Ashley, North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Summerville) to support patient care, collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and providers, and maintain safety/compliance in a high-risk oncology setting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- SC State-Certified Pharmacy Technician Registration
- Active SC State-Certified Pharmacy Technician Registration
- Mixing Tech experience preferred
- Knowledge of USP <797> and USP <800> standards
- Ability to work in fast-paced infusion center
- Computer skills: EMR, inventory and dispensary management, Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail and mathematical calculation skills
- Ability to work with pharmacists, nurses, and providers
