Job Summary
Gather, verify, and combine ingredients per formulas and production schedules, ensuring accurate materials and weights. Operate mixing equipment using control panels and follow detailed manufacturing instructions while performing basic troubleshooting and tracking material consumption via ERP systems. Maintain cleanliness, equipment sanitation, and safety compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, including cleaning after each mix and following all protocols. Coordinate with departments and shift teams to manage materials, resolve discrepancies, and track production schedules. Prepare production documentation, quality samples, and ensure proper sign-offs for product transfer. Handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting, scooping, bending, standing, and operating equipment like forklifts. This safety-sensitive weekend shift requires an N95 respirator and fit-testing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical job tasks safely and effectively
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, including comprehension of instructions, correspondence, and memos, and the ability to communicate effectively
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to use an N95 respirator or approved alternative
- Ability to pass appropriate fit-testing for an N95 respirator
- Ability to wear an N95 while performing duties
- Reside within a commutable distance of the Toronto, ON location
- Ability to come onsite to the Toronto, ON location
