Job Summary
Operate mixing production machines to meet daily, weekly, monthly, and annual output targets. Weigh and mix product according to SOP under supervision, record batch data on batch sheets, troubleshoot basic equipment and process problems, and manage ink materials. Lead basic maintenance input and assist with scheduling. Participate in productivity improvement and cost reduction plans (Total Productive Maintenance). Perform Quality Control testing with visual and machine inspections, operate forklifts to transport materials, train other mixing operators, learn coating room procedures for cleaning and changeovers, maintain safety and housekeeping, and collaborate to ensure effective internal communication within the area.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Associate degree in technical field preferred
- Experience in chemicals mixing/blending operations preferred
- Prior product manufacturing experience required
- Must be able to wear air-purifying respiratory protection equipment as needed
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, move up to 500 pound drums and work in physically demanding conditions
