Job Summary
Mixing Machine Operator I leads the resin-mixing process in the Mixing area, reads the daily schedule, plans setup of workstations with resin mixes to start up and maintain efficient, continuous production, and adjusts mixes according to presses or outside area requirements to meet the schedule. The role coordinates with the Wet Process Area Lead and communicates with forklift operators, warehouse personnel, and material handlers to ensure timely delivery of supplies and availability of tools and equipment. Duties include tagging and labeling resin mix types, preparing pigment colors as a backup to the process tech, maintaining a clean work area, following safety procedures and PPE requirements, and participating in safety meetings. The position requires dependable attendance, flexibility for schedule changes, teamwork, accountability, and adherence to department KPIs and quality standards. Additional duties as assigned; overtime may be required to meet business needs. The role reports to the Shift Manager and may back up other areas within the department. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to adapt and adjust plans to meet changing needs
- Bilingual in Spanish (Preferred)
- Working knowledge of AS400 systems (Preferred)
