Job Summary
Mixer Operator in a McCain manufacturing setting responsible for blending and shredding product according to quality specifications and GMP. Duties include operating and maintaining blenders, shredders, cheese grinders, hoists, weigh scales, and related machinery; recording and verifying raw materials and batch routing; coaching mix-room and sanitation personnel; ensuring proper sanitation, documentation adherence, and GMP/safety compliance; communicating mechanical issues and supporting downtime coordination. Role involves attention to detail, data entry, and teamwork to maximize productivity in a 2nd shift environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of machine operating experience in manufacturing (food manufacturing preferred)
- ability to read and follow documentation and formulas
- English proficiency for documentation and communication
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to operate powered industrial vehicles (PIV) safely
