Mitigation Technician - Tier 1

Job Summary

Conduct site inspections for initial mitigation and rebuild losses, including photography and documentation. Assist project managers with subcontractor acquisition and communicate all project needs. Set up fans and dehumidifiers when initial losses require. Interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals while writing routine reports. Carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds and climb or balance at project sites affected by fire, water, or storm damage. Work in outside weather conditions and move mechanical parts while adhering to safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports, correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization in both Spanish & English
  • Knowledge of industry related software
  • Ability to touch type
  • Familiarity with software like Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate via cell phone and appropriate apps
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form in the English language
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
  • Ability to frequently climb or balance
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to carry a minimum of 50 pounds in weight
