Job Summary
The Manager in Training (MIT) will manage store staff and operations in the absence of upper management, focusing on driving sales and achieving store goals. This entry-level management position requires strong leadership, customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Responsibilities include assisting with operational goals, monitoring performance metrics, ensuring merchandise presentation standards, and maintaining store cleanliness. A high school diploma is required, and at least 2 years of retail experience is preferred. Candidates must be able to stand for long periods and lift between 15-30 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- At least 2+ years’ experience in retail preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to respond to store alarm problems as needed
- Communication and organizational skills
- Strong drive to achieve results
- Takes initiative and has problem solving skills
- Candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time throughout their shift
- Lifting between 15-30 pounds.
