Job Summary
The Manager in Training (MIT) will oversee the store’s staff and operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager. Responsibilities include driving sales and profitability, achieving store goals, assisting in the management of staff performance, ensuring compliance with merchandise presentation standards, and maintaining store cleanliness. Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, and a strong drive to achieve results. This position requires the ability to lift weights between 15-30 pounds and stand for long periods during shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Able to respond to store alarm problems as needed
- Communication and organizational skills
- Strong drive to achieve results
- Takes initiative and has problem solving skills
- Candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time throughout their shift.
- Lifting between 15-30 pounds.
Desired Qualifications
- At least 2+ years’ experience in retail preferred
- College degree a plus but not required
