Job Summary
The Manager in Training (MIT) will fully manage store operations and staff in the absence of the Store Manager. Responsibilities include driving sales and profitability, assisting in communication of operational goals, monitoring individual performance, executing floor set guides, and maintaining merchandise presentation. Candidates should demonstrate leadership, strong customer service, and problem-solving skills, with at least 2 years of retail experience preferred. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Communication and organizational skills
- Strong drive to achieve results
- Takes initiative and has problem solving skills
- Able to respond to store alarm problems as needed
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in retail preferred
- College degree a plus but not required
Additional Requirements
- Candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time throughout their shift
- Lifting between 15-30 pounds
