Job Summary
The Manager in Training (MIT) will manage store staff and operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager. This entry-level management role requires leadership in driving sales, achieving operational goals, and providing excellent customer service. Candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to solve problems and take initiative. Responsibilities include assisting in monitoring staff performance, maintaining merchandise presentation, and ensuring store cleanliness. Applicants should have at least 2 years of retail experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- At least 2+ years’ experience in retail preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus but not required
- Able to respond to store alarm problems as needed
- Communication and organizational skills
- Strong drive to achieve results
- Takes initiative and has problem solving skills
- Candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time throughout their shift
- Lifting between 15-30 pounds
