Job Summary
The Manager in Training (MIT) is an entry-level management role responsible for managing store staff and operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager. Key responsibilities include driving sales and profitability, assisting in evaluating employee performance, ensuring compliance with visual merchandising standards, and maintaining store cleanliness. Candidates should possess strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, and demonstrate leadership ability. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with retail experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Communication and organizational skills
- Candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time throughout their shift
- Lifting between 15-30 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in retail preferred
- College degree a plus but not required
- Ability to respond to store alarm problems as needed
- Strong drive to achieve results
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Team player with the ability to lead a team
