Job Summary
The Manager in Training (MIT) is an entry-level management position responsible for managing store staff and operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager. The role involves driving sales and profitability, assisting in operational goals, monitoring performance metrics, ensuring compliance with merchandising standards, and maintaining store cleanliness. Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership skills, customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with 2+ years of retail experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- At least 2+ years’ experience in retail preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus but not required
- Able to respond to store alarm problems as needed
- Communication and organizational skills
- Strong drive to achieve results
- Takes initiative and has problem solving skills
- Candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time throughout their shift
- Lifting between 15-30 pounds.
