Job Summary
The Manager in Training (MIT) is responsible for managing the store's staff and operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager. This role requires leadership in driving sales and profitability by achieving or exceeding established goals while maintaining high customer service levels. The MIT will assist in communicating operational goals, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with merchandising standards. Ideal candidates possess strong customer service skills, excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to lead a team. Enthusiasm for the brand and adaptability are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- At least 2+ years’ experience in retail preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus but not required
- Able to respond to store alarm problems as needed
- Communication and organizational skills
- Strong drive to achieve results
- Takes initiative and has problem solving skills
- Candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time throughout their shift.
- Lifting between 15-30 pounds.
