Job Summary
Oversee the operation of the Grocery department, managing product preparation, display, inventory control, and sales targets to drive efficiency and revenue. Supervise and schedule team members, providing constructive feedback on performance, growth, and disciplinary actions while training staff on equipment and product handling. Execute daily tasks including product ordering, receiving, stocking with FIFO methods, and maintaining accurate inventory counts through system tracking. Ensure safe, sanitary environments by enforcing safety codes, conducting maintenance on equipment, and managing expiration dates to reduce waste. Lead cash handling, product returns, and compliance efforts while supporting Omni channel initiatives and promotional activities.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of supervisory experience in the grocery department or equivalent
- Ability to work assigned schedules, including weekend, and holidays as needed
- Currently possess or have the ability to possess a Food Handler's certificate
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Ability to use manual dexterity to grasp, manipulate, and assemble objects
- Ability to work in an environment that may be wet and dry and with varying temperatures and noises
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds at times or more with appropriate equipment
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations
