Job Summary
Provide leadership for the successful delivery of transportation projects of varying size and complexity, including roadway, bridge, water, and railway initiatives. Recruit, train, develop, and retain local staff while negotiating budgets and managing financial performance objectives. Build diverse project teams with members from other offices and cultivate client relationships with the Missouri Department of Transportation, City of St. Louis, and Metro Transit to win new work. Supervise engineers and technicians to meet deadlines, scope, and budget requirements. Represent EXP through professional association membership and industry events. This seller-doer role requires 15+ years of experience and a Missouri PE license, reporting to the Transportation Practice Leader to grow the practice across eastern Missouri and southern Illinois.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressively responsible relevant experience
- BS in Civil Engineering
- Licensed PE in the State of Missouri
- Proven record of client relationship development and maintenance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to direct and supervise staff engineers and technicians
- Strong leadership, project management skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to recruit, grow and mentor staff
- Demonstrated industry participation and network
