Job Summary
Mission Spacecraft Launch Integration Engineer III at Blue Origin leads and executes systems engineering for spacecraft launch vehicle integration, coordinating cross-functional interfaces, developing integration plans, identifying and mitigating risks, and supporting test activities during launch campaigns. The role focuses on integrating spacecraft (including the Blue Ring platform) with launch systems, ensuring mission success, and maintaining clear communication with internal and external stakeholders. Key skills include extensive experience in spacecraft/launch vehicle integration, systems engineering principles, MBSE tools (Cameo, EA, MagicDraw, Rhapsody), requirement verification, risk management, and strong collaboration across teams. Relocation is provided for this role, and travel up to 10% is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace engineering with focus on spacecraft and launch vehicle integration
- Knowledge of spacecraft systems, launch vehicle architecture, and system engineering principles
- Experience with MBSE/System Modeling tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, Enterprise Architect, MagicDraw, or Rhapsody)
- Experience with verification of requirements and systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORs, ETM, Windchill, Cameo)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- U.S. citizen or eligible to work per required regulations
