Job Summary
Mission Hardware Engineer responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of information systems and peripheral hardware for a mission-critical program. Duties include screen/refer/diagnose inquiries related to maintenance; install/configure/upgrade computer hardware and software; provide end-user hardware/software support; replace network and fiber cabling; decommission old systems; install/maintain VTCs, TVs, and phone systems; coordinate development of deliverables; track project studies/plans/action items; stay current on relevant technologies; participate in special projects; and hold a BA/BS with 3+ years of related experience, plus required DoD clearance and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS (or equivalent experience) in a related technical discipline
- 3+ years of related experience
- Unix and Windows operations systems
- Understanding of remote VoIP administration
- Experience with conferencing system configuration
- Knowledge of CAT5, CAT6 and copper termination
- DoD TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
- Current DoD IA Certification (A+, Network+, Security+ CE, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) or equivalent
- Attain DoD 8570 CE Certification within six months of hire
