Job Summary
Diagnose and resolve issues on commercial HVAC systems, perform preventative maintenance, and fine-tune system performance for energy efficiency. Coordinate with internal teams for scheduling, complete service reports and work orders, and build strong client relationships by addressing service concerns. Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours support and serve as a resource for junior technicians. Maintain OSHA compliance and follow all safety guidelines while working in various field conditions, including rooftops and tight spaces. Requires your own vehicle, EPA Universal Certification, and 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience. Extensive on-the-job training is provided.
Required Qualifications
- Own vehicle
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
- EPA Universal Certification
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Physical capability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various field conditions including rooftops and tight spaces
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Clear and effective communication with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
- Capability to review work for accuracy and make necessary adjustments in the field
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with systems such as chillers, hydronic systems, VRF, RTUs, packaged equipment or mission-critical cooling systems
- OEM-specific training or certifications
- Skilled in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and interpreting service manuals and schematics
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional, team-focused mindset
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to respond well to changing job demands and field conditions
- Active participation in training and embracing new tools, technologies, and methods
