Job Summary
Diagnose and resolve issues on commercial HVAC systems while performing preventative maintenance and fine-tuning performance for data center reliability. Build strong client relationships by addressing service concerns and delivering professional communication, then coordinate internal scheduling and complete accurate service reports. Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours support and serve as a resource for junior technicians. This field-based role requires a valid driver's license, EPA Universal Certification, and 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience, with nationwide travel and a required personal vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- Own vehicle
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
- EPA Universal Certification
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Physical capability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various field conditions including rooftops and tight spaces
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Capability to review work for accuracy and make necessary adjustments in the field
- Clear and effective communication with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
- Capability to work in outdoor conditions and varying environments including mechanical rooms, rooftops, and active construction sites
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with chillers, hydronic systems, VRF, RTUs, packaged equipment or mission-critical cooling systems
- OEM-specific training or certifications
- Skilled in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and interpreting service manuals and schematics
