Job Summary
Diagnose and resolve issues on commercial HVAC systems while performing preventative maintenance and fine-tuning performance for energy efficiency. Coordinate with internal teams for scheduling, complete service reports and work orders, and build strong client relationships through clear communication. Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours support and serve as a resource for junior technicians. Travel nationwide to service mission-critical data centers and regional commercial clients, utilizing provided tools and PPE. Requires 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience, EPA certification, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Own vehicle
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
- EPA Universal Certification
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Physical capability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various field conditions including rooftops and tight spaces
- Ability to regularly lift and move items up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Clear and effective communication with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
- Capability to review work for accuracy and make necessary adjustments in the field
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with systems such as chillers, hydronic systems, VRF, RTUs, packaged equipment or mission-critical cooling systems
- OEM-specific training or certifications
- Skilled in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and interpreting service manuals and schematics
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional, team-focused mindset
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Extensive on-the-job training provided
