Mission Control Technician

Job Summary

Monitor critical infrastructure systems including power, cooling, security, and network connectivity while serving as the primary point of contact for alerts and incident investigations. Interpret alarms, diagnose issues, initiate remediation, and escalate when needed, ensuring all incidents are documented, escalated, and resolved according to established procedures. Create and close incident tickets with accurate timelines, coordinate with internal teams and vendors, and produce clear post-event reports. Provide timely support to customers during incidents while following defined notification and communication procedures in a 24/7 rotating shift environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in IT operations, network operations, or a similar technical support role
  • Experience monitoring systems, investigating alerts, and managing incidents through resolution
  • Foundational understanding of network topologies and the OSI model
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple infrastructure domains
  • Experience using ticketing and monitoring tools
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operations environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in data center, NOC, SOC, or other mission-critical environments
  • Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems such as UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, and cooling systems
  • Experience with terminal access and monitoring tools such as SSH, PuTTY, Syslog, or Nagios
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or comparable certifications
  • Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 certification within six months
