Mission Control Power/Environmental Technician I

Mission Control Network Technician I monitors and supports Switch’s network infrastructure from the Mission Control environment. You respond to alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate with internal teams and network carriers to restore service. The role is execution-focused, follows defined procedures, and supports 24/7/365 operations with no people management responsibilities. Key duties include monitoring network infrastructure with approved tools, acting as first point of contact for network events, diagnosing issues, managing incident tickets, performing configuration tasks (port/circuit activations, MAC clearing, access changes), engaging carriers and internal teams, documenting incidents with actions/timelines/outcomes, following escalation procedures, providing customer-facing updates, and contributing to tool/process improvements. Ideal candidates communicate clearly, manage multiple incidents, and remain calm under pressure, with 2+ years in IT/networking and foundational network knowledge. Certifications such as Network+, CCST, CCNA, A+, or Security+ are preferred but not required. The role offers flexibility with in-office, hybrid, or fully remote arrangements.
