Mission Assurance Specialist

Job Summary
The Mission Assurance Specialist will support a federal contract in Ft. Meade, MD focusing on mission assurance, continuity planning, and emergency management. Responsibilities include updating and validating Mission Essential Functions (MEFs) via Business Process Analysis (BPA), conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) to identify operational risks and dependencies, and providing analysis and recommendations to enable mission assurance strategies, continuity planning, policy development, and operational readiness. The role requires knowledge of Federal and DoD policies related to emergency management, continuity and resilience, participation in continuity exercises and meetings, and strong analytical and coordination skills. An Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly is required, as is a Bachelor's degree in a related field (or four years of additional relevant experience in lieu of the degree). Preferred certification includes FEMA CES Level I or equivalent in continuity, emergency management, or resilience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting mission assurance, continuity of operations (COOP), emergency management, business continuity, resilience planning, or related programs
- Experience updating and validating Mission Essential Functions (MEFs) through Business Process Analysis (BPA) activities
- Experience conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) to identify operational risks, dependencies, and impacts to mission-essential functions
- Experience providing analysis and recommendations to support mission assurance strategies, continuity planning, policy development, and operational readiness initiatives
- Knowledge of Federal and DoD policies, directives, and interdependencies related to emergency management, continuity, resilience, and critical infrastructure protection
- Experience developing, implementing, maintaining, and exercising continuity plans, procedures, and policies to ensure mission execution during all-hazards events
- Experience supporting contingency planning, cyberspace operations, continuity programs, and emergency management activities
- Experience participating in continuity exercises, emergency management events, working groups, and mission assurance meetings
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Four (4) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree
- Preferred Certification: FEMA Continuity Excellence Series (CES) Level I Professional Continuity Certification or equivalent continuity, emergency management, or resilience certification
