Mission Assurance Engineer SME - TEMPORARY

Provide technical evaluations of developer designs for subcomponents, assemblies, and integrated systems associated with MDA programs and offer subject matter expertise for identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks across design, development, manufacturing, fielding, and operation of MDA systems. Demonstrate how MDA Assurance Provisions (MAP) and Parts, Materials, and Processes Mission Assurance Plan (PMAP) requirements are implemented in development efforts. Assess baseline design risk and communicate issues and risks, including preparation of risk notification reports. Support review and assessment of hardware and software compliance with quality and mission assurance requirements, including failure investigations and related activities, such as failure review boards, audits, and assessments. Prepare draft documents, briefs, presentations, and action responses; provide weekly status reports on activities and issues. The role requires applying 15+ years of engineering experience in QMA, expertise across software engineering, avionics, aerospace system design, and leadership in policies/requirements related to quality and mission assurance, with a Secret security clearance.
