Job Summary
Mission Analyst responsible for leading and executing comprehensive test routes and maneuvers based on engineering test plans without on-site supervision; manage vehicle software state, troubleshoot in real-time, and provide high-fidelity data. Responsibilities include software updates and configuration changes using diagnostic tools, detailed bug reporting in Jira with reproduction steps, validating prototype firmware across platforms, maintaining instrumentation systems, and overseeing data acquisition. Travel requirements include long-distance missions up to 400 miles and up to 20% travel with air travel; operate in a fast-paced environment with Linux-based tools and various diagnostics, while representing the organization professionally and ensuring safety.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in vehicle testing, automotive technology, or prototype systems validation
- Education: High School Diploma required; Degree in Automotive Technology, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred. ASE Certification is a plus
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Jira (managing bug lifecycles), Linux terminal/command-line interfaces, GitHub, and automotive diagnostic hardware
- Soft Skills: Strong sense of responsibility and reliability; ability to follow multi-step instructions and maintain focus during repetitive tasks
- Safety & Compliance: Valid driver’s license with a clean record; ability to pass a ten-panel drug screen and criminal background check
