Miscellaneous Steel Project Manager

Job Summary
Lead the Miscellaneous steel division team by dividing project budgets, hiring subcontractors, and adjusting schedules to meet deadlines. Compile requirements from sales documents, contracts, and client correspondence while evaluating risks and developing mitigation strategies. Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget, conducting quality control audits and maintaining comprehensive documentation. Establish relationships with clients and vendors, analyze project status to revise scope or budget as needed, and prioritize delegation across multiple simultaneous projects. Execute periodic site visits and attend weekly production meetings to support field teams. Requires 2+ years in Miscellaneous steel or 5+ in Structural Steel, proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, and ability to travel.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in the Miscellaneous steel industry 2+ years or 5+ years in Structural Steel
- Ability to read, comprehend, and understand contract documents including: Contract Language & Specific Contract Requirements/Scope Of Work
- Ability to read, comprehend, and understand contract documents including: Contract Specifications Including [but not limited to] Sections 05 & 09
- Ability to read, comprehend, and understand contract documents including: Contract Drawing Sets Including Civil, Architectural, Landscape, & Structural
- Knowledge of AISC Code Of Standard Practice
- Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of multiple project stages including sales/estimating, submittals, shop production and field installation
- Ability to identify changes in project scope and advocate for compensation associated with these changes
- Knowledge and understanding of commercial construction as it relates to steel components and familiar with natural construction flow
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong professional client-facing communication skills & internal communication skills
- Proficient in Bluebeam Revu
- Ability to travel as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Tekla Powerfab
