Job Summary
Perform basic quality control checks, read and follow a Traveler, examine and inspect containers and products to ensure packing specifications are met, touch up paint, apply labels and tags, test motors, and move motors along the production line. Able to manipulate large motors regularly, fold and tape boxes, and stack boxes on pallets according to direction. Maintain a clean and safe workplace per 5S and Marathon Electric’s values. Willing to learn other jobs within the department. Regularly lift parts up to 35 pounds and work overtime as needed. Founded company context provided in description.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Effectively communicate and work in a team environment
- Accurately read and comprehend materials such as JIBS and BOM’s
- Must be detail oriented and possess good communication skills as well as time management skills
- Strong work ethic, with an above average attendance record
- Ability to write and record basic information
- Knowledge of and ability to compute basic arithmetic
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to carry out one-or two-step tasks (transport, weigh, etc.)
- Knowledge of and ability to solve problems that have standard solutions
- Ability to rely on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Regularly stand and use hands and arms; lift 20-35 lbs and occasionally 26-50 lbs
- Ability to work overtime as needed
