Job Summary
Perform basic quality control checks, read and follow a Traveler, examine/inspect containers and products to ensure packing specifications, touch up paint, apply labels and tags, test motors, and maneuver large motors along production lines. Fold and tape boxes, stack on pallets, and carry out tasks as directed by others. Maintain a clean, safe workplace per 5S policies and Marathon Electric core values; willing to learn other jobs within the department. Regularly stand and use hands/arms; lift parts up to 35 pounds; may require overtime. Knowledge of JIBS and BOMs, basic arithmetic, and effective communication within a team setting are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Effective communication and teamwork
- Able to read and comprehend materials such as JIBS and BOMs
- Detail oriented with good communication and time management skills
- Strong work ethic with above-average attendance
- Ability to write and record basic information
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to perform one- or two-step tasks (transport, weigh, etc.)
- Knowledge of solving problems with standard solutions
- Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines
- Frequent standing and use of hands/arms during shift
- Physical capability to lift 20-35 lbs regularly and 26-50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to work overtime as needed
