Job Summary
Produce cannabis infused products like gummies and edibles by accurately weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients per approved recipes. Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely while maintaining batch records, ingredient logs, and compliance documentation. Uphold sanitation, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices throughout the shift, cleaning workstations and inspecting finished products for quality and consistency. Assist with raw material intake, storage, and inventory tracking as needed. Follow strict standard operating procedures in a regulated environment, ensuring precise adherence to recipes and measurements.
Required Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail - recipes and measurements must be followed precisely.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Capable of repetitive bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Comfortable working with kitchen equipment, hot surfaces, and food-grade ingredients.
- Ability to follow strict standard operating procedures in a regulated cannabis environment.
- Strong sanitation habits and commitment to cleanliness.
- Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented work ethic.
- Must be 18 years of age or older per Connecticut cannabis regulations.
- Must successfully pass a background check as required by Connecticut cannabis industry compliance.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a commercial kitchen, food production, or edibles/MIPs environment.
- ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training.
- Background in regulated manufacturing (food, cannabis, or pharmaceutical).
- Familiarity with seed-to-sale compliance tracking systems such as Biotrack or METRC.
- Experience following batch recipes and maintaining production records.
- Prior experience with confectionery, baking, candy-making, or precision food production.
