Job Summary
Treat injured players with attention to injury prevention, medical treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries while developing and managing player throwing programs and return-to-play progressions. Supervise and educate the Minor League medical staff, including athletic trainers and strength & conditioning personnel, and communicate all treatments and evaluations to the Rehabilitation Team. Provide high-quality, athlete-centered care and team/game coverage as needed for the Brewers Dominican Republic Academy. Residence in the Dominican Republic is required. Candidates must hold a Doctorate degree (DPT) and dual PT/ATC licensure with relevant professional baseball experience.
Required Qualifications
- Residence in the Dominican Republic
- 1-2 years of professional baseball experience in the medical or a related field
- National certification from the National Athletic Trainers Association
- Doctorate degree (DPT) from four-year College or university
- Eligible or be certified as a dual licensed/credentialed PT/ATC
- Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) certificate or have completed the Acute Management of Injury and Illness Courses that are approved by ABPTS Sports Specialty Council, prior to the start of the baseball season
