Job Summary
Chaplains serve as frontline staff fulfilling the mission and Christian ministry of MCHAP, making regular visits to company worksites and interacting with employees and their families to build trust and provide support. Responsibilities include offering confidential pastoral care, assisting with life issues, providing referrals, and facilitating spiritual enrichment activities. Candidates should exhibit spiritual maturity, strong interpersonal and analytical skills, and the ability to navigate sensitive situations with diplomacy and courtesy. Proficiency in technology and communication is essential, as is a commitment to upholding Christian values in practice.
Required Qualifications
- Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle
- Attests to a saving faith in Jesus Christ
- Active participation in a biblically based church
- Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with diverse groups
- Ability to maintain emotional stability to cope with human suffering and emergencies
- Must have an active state driver’s license and state minimum auto insurance
