Job Summary
Lead policy analyst for the Mink Bowman case and related initiatives; conduct complex policy and program analyses, develop strategic recommendations, and ensure alignment with Behavioral Health Division’s and OHA’s broader goals. Serve as a resource and expert for OHA in forensic behavioral health treatment services; collaborate with Federal, State and local partners; lead and participate in task forces, committees, workgroups, and advisory panels related to behavioral health policy and program development and implementation. Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, clear written deliverables and present them to policymakers, senior leaders and the public. Translate data into visual formats and provide strategic insights; monitor policy, legislative and budget developments and assess impacts; facilitate stakeholder engagement and cross-agency collaboration. Preference given to candidates with forensic populations experience. The role is full-time, hybrid in Salem, Oregon, with a 10% in-office expectation; strong emphasis on policy analysis, program development, and cross-sector collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and four years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work
- OR; Any combination of experience and education equivalent to seven years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification.
