Job Summary
Coordinate cultural activities and trips for international students, while participating in outreach activities such as Bible discussions and friendship partnerships. Establish and maintain church partnerships, then recruit, match, and support volunteers. Manage the development of a ministry partner team to supply prayer and financial support covering salary, benefits, and ministry expenses. This role requires living near Penn State University campus to serve one of the top 10 largest universities in the U.S., which hosts over 9,000 international students. Full- or part-time flexible schedules include occasional evenings, weekends, and annual conference attendance.
Required Qualifications
- Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies
- Is faithful, loyal, and dedicated to IFI's mandate from the Lord to extend God's love globally through equipping Christians to be effective cross-cultural communicators of the Gospel
- Well organized with attention to detail and ability to complete tasks independently
- Be a self-starter, as well as a team player
- Ability to work under stress and be flexible
- Enjoys working with people and has strong interpersonal skills, especially when addressing a dissatisfied student or volunteer
- Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applications
- Bachelor degree (or higher) in education and/or ministry-related field or demonstrated experience mobilizing, training, and ministering to people
- Requires the development of a ministry partner team which supplies the necessary prayer and financial support to cover salary, benefits, and ministry expenses
- Training is provided to develop a team of ministry partners
- Pay range is typically between $27,274 and $84,872 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factors
