Job Summary
Lead the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of an underground mining project by driving daily operations and building systems to meet development and stoping targets. Ensure alignment with project schedule, budget, and regulatory requirements while fostering a performance culture grounded in safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Manage people and contractors, coordinate with stakeholders across functions, and apply mine planning principles to deliver against production and cost targets. Requires 10+ years underground mining experience with 3–5+ years in a Superintendent capacity.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years underground mining experience, including leadership roles.
- 3–5+ years in Superintendent / Senior Supervisor / Shift Boss capacity.
- Proven track record leading UG mining projects through ramp-up or expansion phases.
- Strong understanding of UG mining methods, ground control, ventilation, drill/charge/blast, hauling, and backfill (as relevant).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver against schedule, budget, and production targets.
- Working knowledge of mine planning principles and production reconciliation.
- Familiarity with UG mobile equipment fleets and maintenance interface.
