Job Summary
Oversee daily production activities in a mining environment; supervise operators, laborers, and support personnel; ensure production targets are met while maintaining safety and quality standards; monitor equipment utilization and workforce productivity; enforce MSHA policies and site safety; conduct daily safety meetings, job briefings, and shift handoffs; identify and resolve operational issues in real time; coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime; train, mentor, and develop crew members; maintain clear communication with site management and client representatives; complete required reports and production tracking; lead from the front in a hands-on, fast-paced setting.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory or foreman role within mining, quarry, or heavy civil operations
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operations and production processes
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Valid driver’s license
- MSHA certification required (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-production environment
- Reliable, organized, and able to make sound decisions under pressure
- Leaders who hold their teams accountable while building respect in the field
