Job Summary
Repair, recondition, weld, fabricate, service and prepare CAT and Empire line allied machines and components for delivery; diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions and failures of machines, engines, and hydraulic/electrical systems; work on-site at the Sierrita Mine Site with multiple shifts, including overnight stays; lift, inspect, and assemble components; communicate technical findings to clients and management; adhere to safety policies and provide on-the-job training to helpers as assigned. Strong emphasis on hydraulics, electrical, powertrain, Tier IV emissions systems, warranty considerations, and field service in demanding environments; must be able to read sketches/blueprints, plan repair jobs, coordinate with dispatch, and travel as required. Proficient with diagnostic equipment and applying correct welding procedures; maintain good client relations and uphold Empire/CAT procedures and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Six months related experience
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
- Valid driver’s license
- Own and maintain required personal tools
- Complete skills assessment (eTRAIN test)
- Proof of current valid CDL if required by position
