Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate electrical crews on active surface and underground mining projects for maintenance, construction, commissioning, shutdowns, and repairs involving substations, MCCs, conveyors, crushers, pumps, and power distribution systems. Lead Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians while planning labor, equipment, materials, and daily work schedules. Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations, NEC requirements, and site safety standards through safety meetings, JHAs, audits, and LOTO verification. Provide advanced troubleshooting support for mining electrical systems and mentor field personnel while monitoring quality and productivity. Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and manpower tracking. Coordinate work with operations, maintenance, project management, and customers in active industrial environments.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent experience where applicable
- 7+ years of industrial, mining, or heavy commercial electrical experience
- Previous Foreman, Lead Electrician, or supervisory experience
- Knowledge of substations, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, transformers, conveyors, crushers, pumps, and process equipment
- Working knowledge of NEC requirements and MSHA regulations
- Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities
