Mining Construction Coordinator (Site Services)

Job Summary
Manage the scoping, purchasing, scheduling, and oversight of site services contractors for temporary facilities, security, utilities, and emergency response in an open pit mining environment. Develop execution plans and costs to align site services with the overall project schedule while serving as the interface between the construction management team and service providers. Drive a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements, and maintain accurate daily records for validating invoices and change orders. This full-time onsite position is available from anywhere in the United States with a preference for Nevada, Utah, or near major mining projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management is preferred or trade school or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience in large-scale heavy civil construction, process facilities, and/or mining infrastructure, such as haul roads, waste rock facilities, tailings systems, and associated support facilities
- Demonstrated hands-on construction coordination experience in active mining settings, with ability to track and document multiple vendors at the same time
- Commitment to safety
- MSHA 48B Surface required
- Must pass drug test
- Must pass background check
- Must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
- Able to walk distances on uneven sites
- Able to climb small ladders
- Able to work in an active construction environment
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 30-hour training preferred
- Experience with developing scopes of work and estimating schedule and cost
- Ability to liaise between procurement and contractors
- Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and decision-making skills with good working computer capabilities in MS Office products
