Mining Construction Contract Manager

Job Summary

Review, interpret, and administer contracts to ensure compliance with agreed terms and conditions in collaboration with the client and internal teams. Support the preparation, negotiation, and execution of field work instructions, amendments, and contract change orders while monitoring obligations, deliverables, and deadlines. Identify contractual risks and work with project, legal, commercial, finance, and procurement teams to mitigate them. Manage contract correspondence, records, claims, variations, and supporting documentation, providing guidance on contractual rights and escalation requirements. Coordinate with engineering and stakeholders on contract matters and assist with commercial reporting and payment provisions. This full-time onsite role in the United States or Canada requires 10+ years of experience in mining infrastructure and MSHA 48B Surface certification.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant procurement and contract management experience in large-scale heavy civil construction, process facilities, and/or mining infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated hands-on contract administration, documentation, and communication while onsite during a large-scale project with multiple vendors
  • Knowledge of contract terms and conditions, negotiations, and industry standards and regulations
  • Commitment to safety
  • MSHA 48B Surface
  • Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and decision-making skills
  • Good working computer capabilities in MS Office products
  • Ability to liaise between designers, owners, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Must pass drug test
  • Must pass background check
  • Must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy

Desired Qualifications

  • Full-time onsite position can be from anywhere in the United States or Canada with preference in Nevada, Utah, or near major mining projects
  • Travel per diem is available for those not local to the projects
  • Able to walk distances on uneven sites, climb small ladders, and work in an active construction environment both above and underground
