Mining Construction Contract Administrator

Job Summary
Review, interpret, and administer contracts to ensure compliance with agreed terms and conditions in collaboration with the client and internal teams. Support the preparation, negotiation, and execution of field work instructions, amendments, and contract change orders while monitoring obligations, deliverables, milestones, and deadlines. Identify contractual risks and work with project, legal, commercial, finance, and procurement teams to mitigate them. Manage contract correspondence, records, claims, variations, and supporting documentation, and provide guidance on contractual rights and escalation requirements. Coordinate with engineering and stakeholders on contract matters and assist with commercial reporting, cost impacts, and performance tracking. This full-time onsite role requires MSHA certification, 5+ years of heavy civil or mining construction experience, and the ability to work in active construction environments above and underground.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant procurement and contract management experience in large-scale heavy civil construction, process facilities, and/or mining infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated hands-on contract administration, documentation, and communication while onsite during a large-scale project with multiple vendors
- Knowledge of contract terms and conditions, negotiations, and industry standards and regulations
- Commitment to safety
- MSHA certification
- Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and decision-making skills
- Good working computer capabilities in MS Office products
- Ability to liaise between designers, owners, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Ability to walk distances on uneven sites
- Ability to climb small ladders
- Ability to work in an active construction environment both above and underground
- Must pass drug test
- Must pass background check
- Must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
