Job Summary
Conduct hands-on training for new employees on equipment operation, safety protocols, and production procedures while observing and assessing team performance to identify skill gaps. Assist machine operators with troubleshooting minor mechanical issues and support quick changeovers to ensure conversion machines operate continuously for 11.5 hours per shift. Monitor production speeds and line performance in real time to address slowdowns, restore optimal line speed after stoppages, and prioritize tasks that achieve daily throughput targets. Maintain accurate downtime documentation and recommend process improvements to sustain machine output. Collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve issues impacting run-time performance and ensure all Standard Operating Conditions are followed during production runs.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience operating or supporting conversion equipment
- Strong understanding of bag-making processes, quality standards, and machine operation
- Demonstrated ability to train or mentor others in a manufacturing setting
- Good communication skills and the ability to give clear instructions
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues
- Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
- Willingness to work flexible hours, shifts, or overtime as needed
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interaction
