Job Summary
Lead the growth, technical excellence, and strategic direction of the Mineral Processing practice by defining vision for a multidisciplinary team of engineers and metallurgists. Drive global business development across base metals, precious metals, critical minerals, and industrial minerals markets. Act as a recognized subject matter expert commanding client confidence at the executive level while mentoring the next generation of processing engineers. Manage feasibility studies, trade-off analyses, and detailed engineering design for greenfield plants and brownfield expansions, covering comminution, separation, hydrometallurgy, and tailings management. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering with 10+ years of experience, CEng or PE registration, and willingness to travel globally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in Metallurgical, Chemical, or Mineral Processing Engineering (or related field)
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- Willingness to travel globally
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering preferred or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- 15+ years of progressive experience in mineral processing design and engineering
- Experience working in consulting or EPCM environments on multidisciplinary mining projects
- Familiarity with international standards and codes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing technical workstreams, and delivering client-focused solutions
